Teahouse “Kaika-ro” Kanazawa Higashi Chaya District

Teahouse "Kaika-ro" Kanazawa Higashi Chaya District Hidemi Shimura

I visited this building about 20 years ago, I was very impressed by the colorful tatami dyed with plant dyeing. And this building is still kept in very good condition.
This building is open to public at daytime and still used for “Ozashiki” (party in a tatami room with a geisha) at night.
Although visitors need to pay 750 yen to see this building, there is a cafe space inside, and if you order something at cafe, you don’t need to pay for entrance.
