It has been quite some time since my solo exhibition Visionaire Thread<\/em> last year.<\/p>\n

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who visited the exhibition and everyone who took the time to view my work.<\/p>\n

I have not updated this blog for a while. Currently, I am undergoing medical treatment and focusing on my recovery.<\/p>\n

Because of this, I will take a break from exhibitions for some time. Fortunately, the treatment is going well, and my physical condition is gradually improving.<\/p>\n

Although it is still difficult to work at the same pace as before, I have been able to spend more time thinking about my work and developing new ideas.<\/p>\n

These past several months have been a period when I was forced to stop and slow down.<\/p>\n

At the same time, it has also been a period that allowed me to pay attention to things that I had previously overlooked.<\/p>\n

Experiencing health problems made me realize once again that my energy and time are limited. It also gave me an opportunity to think more deeply than ever about what I want to create and what kind of works I would like to leave behind.<\/p>\n

Throughout my career, I have been interested in the colors, structures, and changes in perception created through thread as a material. This interest remains unchanged.<\/p>\n

However, recently I feel that my reflections have reached a deeper place than before.<\/p>\n

I have been thinking more seriously about personal experiences, memories, and my inner world, and how these can be expressed through my work.<\/p>\n

As a result, I have started to pay more attention to the concept behind each individual piece. While I will continue creating works based on repeated structures, I also feel a stronger desire to create works that have their own unique stories and meanings.<\/p>\n

This change has become an important source of inspiration for me.<\/p>\n

Recently, I have been developing ideas for a new series that combines my existing techniques with new approaches. I am also thinking about large-scale soft sculptures and installation works.<\/p>\n

My works require a great deal of time and many processes to complete. This is especially true for new series and larger projects.<\/p>\n

For this reason, rather than rushing back to my previous pace, I would like to spend the next few years focusing carefully on creating new work.<\/p>\n

One of my goals is to hold a new solo exhibition around 2028.<\/p>\n

Rather than being a “comeback exhibition,” I hope it will be a place to present the ideas I have been thinking about over the past few years and the new works that have grown from them.<\/p>\n

I do not see this period of rest as a pause in my artistic activity. Instead, I see it as a preparation period for a new beginning.<\/p>\n

Although it may be some time before I can meet you again through an exhibition, I will continue creating.<\/p>\n

I look forward to sharing my new work with you in the future, one step at a time.<\/p>\n
