Buildings around here used to be tea house ( some of them are still used), Higashichaya district in Kanazawa is a quaint street lined with old buildings.
It’s interesting to walk around the main street crowded with tourists & there are a lot of shops, but also try some stroll the neighborhood is interesting, there are many temples and shrines.
These narrow streets are kept very clean, and they plant plants in small spaces in front of the house. It was quite impressive view for me.
