Concept
The “Music” series is characterized by a jagged shape that resembles the waveform of music. This series consists of an image of colors from a scenery that comes to mind when listening to specific music. The jagged part in the lower part is made by the technique of coiling silk embroidery thread.
This artwork is based on the overall image of a combination of various songs by a Japanese hardcore band called eastern youth.
The title of the work, “A view from bottom of the world,” comes from the album name “Bottom of the World”, and it represents a unique perspective that gives a bird’s-eye view of the world from the bottom of the world, which is a characteristic of eastern youth lyrics.
The colors of the work come from the perspective of looking into the world from the muddy water and the image of a mixture of lights that can be seen in the city at night.
