From the new series “Music -MUSIC-” which started in 2015.
An artwork created with the theme of “music”.
The “Music” series is characterized by a jagged shape that resembles the waveform of music. This series is consists of an image of colors from a scenery that comes to mind when listening to specific music. The jagged part in the lower part is made by the technique of coiling silk embroidery thread.
This artwork is inspired by a music video for a song by a popular musician from the Amis tribe of Taiwan called Zhang Zhenyue. In the music video, he surfs and sings at the beach with Amis people, which is a good representation of Taiwan’s surfer culture.
This artwork expresses the seaside scenery of Taiwan that is reminiscent of the scene.
