I’m participating in a group exhibition of six artists on the 7th floor of Yurakucho Hankyu Men’s Tokyo.
I think in this exhibition the balance between two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks looks very good, and will in a way makes you feel energetic when you see it.
The exhibition will be open for a long period, so if you are in the neighborhood, please visit us!

Eight works from three series, “Silent Invader,” “Morning Dawn,” and “Rhythm of Life” will be exhibited.

Contemporary Fiber Artist Hidemi Shimura
An artist who creates artworks mainly using embroidery threads. Majored in fashion design at university, and after graduation began working in 3DCG production. In 2005, she began her career as a contemporary artist. In 2006, she moved to Shanghai, a city she fell in love with after a company trip. Although she did not intend to stay in Shanghai for that long, she ended up living there for almost 7 years due to unexpected matters, such as the closure of art galleries due to the world economy crisis. Returned to Japan in December 2013 and currently resides in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture. Continues to work as a contemporary artist. Currently, she is working on creating many artworks for the 20th anniversary of her career as an artist in 2025.
In this blog, she posts musings on art, culture, and history, as well as reports on her own activities.
