I will be exhibiting at the two-person show at the newly opened Luka Art Gallery in Sintra, Portugal. This exhibition is one of the commemorative events for the 480th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Portugal this year. Sintra is a World Heritage city located about an hour away from Lisbon, and it used to be a summer resort for aristocrats, with many palaces in the city. This gallery is also located in a corner of a palace and it is a very beautiful space. I am excited to see how the exhibition will be.

I have sent around 30 pieces of artwork, including one large piece, to Portugal. It was challenging to send the large artwork to Portugal due to the still ongoing impact of COVID-19 and other circumstances, such as the situation in Ukraine. However, I would love for many people to see the exhibition!

I had hoped to attend the exhibition in person, but due to mourning and other circumstances, I had to give up that plan.
I visited Lisbon in 2018 for a group show. After that I love Portugal so much ! Next time I definitely want to visit there in person.

Last exhibition at the gallery have incorporated installations and have been beautifully displayed, so I am confident that our exhibition will also be presented well in the space.

If you live in Portugal or are traveling there, please come and visit the exhibition!
