I’m going to exhibit two new artworks in a group show “Theme Time Art Show -Episode 1 MUSIC-” in Yokohama.

7 emerging artists will exhibit artworks inspired by “MUSIC”.

I’m still making my artworks, but title is already decided. One will be “Mozart in Cherry Blossom” and another one will be “Tom Waits in Sunny Winter”

If you live near Yokohama or have a chance to visit Yokohama during exhibition period, please come and see our artworks !

Contemporary Fiber Artist Hidemi Shimura
An artist who creates artworks mainly using embroidery threads. Majored in fashion design at university, and after graduation began working in 3DCG production. In 2005, she began her career as a contemporary artist. In 2006, she moved to Shanghai, a city she fell in love with after a company trip. Although she did not intend to stay in Shanghai for that long, she ended up living there for almost 7 years due to unexpected matters, such as the closure of art galleries due to the world economy crisis. Returned to Japan in December 2013 and currently resides in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture. Continues to work as a contemporary artist. Currently, she is working on creating many artworks for the 20th anniversary of her career as an artist in 2025.
